INTERNAL AUDITOR

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Audit of the company’s accounts and finances in accordance with the provisions of the audit manual
• In particular, he will work with the finance dept to ensure that expenditure, accounting and other financial processes comply with the relevant laws and expected standards.
• Reviewing the accounting system and related internal controls, monitoring their operations and recommending improvements thereon.
• Auditing of all accounting records, payroll, payment vouchers, journals and bankj reconciliation statements.
• Inventory audit and regular stock taking, including reconciliation of physical and system balances both at the head offices and the branches
• Reconciliation of L/Cs with physical deliveries and the reconciliation of foreign supplier accounts.
• Assisting in addressing problems, issues and recommendations resulting from external audits

SPECIFICATIONS

• A good degree or HND in accounting
• Membership of the institute of chattered accountants of Nigeria.
• Minimum of 10 yrs post qualifications experience in an audit firm or the dept of audit in a manufacturing company.
• Strong ability to follow up on a large volume of activities
• Good knowledge of accounting packages, preferably SAP and ACL software
